Bin collection service

We provide bin garbage and recycling collection service to:

Note, some customers may have mixed services, with bins for one type of waste and carts for the other.

Residents living in multi-unit properties with bin service can use our large item pick up service for a fee.

Bin service customers are not eligible for yard waste collection service.

Accepted items

We accept garbage in garbage bins. In recycling bins, we accept:

  • Rigid plastic packaging
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Empty and rinsed containers made of glass, plastic and metal

Not accepted items

Please do not place your recyclables in plastic bags before you put them in your recycling bin, even if the bag packaging says it can be used for recyclables.

Hazardous items should not go into your recycling or garbage bins. This includes:

  • Aerosols
  • Batteries
  • Electronics
  • Automotive fluids & parts
  • Household chemicals with the hazardous symbols

Instead, please bring these items, in their original containers, to your nearest 4R Winnipeg Depot. If you are not sure what goes where, search for your item on the Recyclepedia.
