Housing

Housing is a key priority for the City of Winnipeg

Housing is a human right. Everyone needs a home that is safe, that meets their unique needs, and that they can afford. Housing needs to adapt over time to match the needs of changing communities.

Over the next 25 years, Winnipeg will experience significant population growth. To prepare for this growth, the City of Winnipeg offers a variety of housing programs.

The City uses strategic tools to help build and maintain homes to meet the needs of Winnipeggers. We enable affordable, supportive, and social housing. We partner with non-profit, private sector organizations, and other levels of government.
