Council & Committee meetings

City Council and its various committees, most of which are made up of City Council Members, make the decisions that affect our community. There are a number of meetings each week, and most meetings are open to the public.

Under its Procedure By-law No. 50/2007, Council establishes a yearly schedule of meetings for Council and its Standing Committees. Meetings of Council, Executive Policy and Standing Committees are usually prorogued during the month of August, except in an election year, wherein the prorogued period is October.
