Donations
Fire-paramedic stations and most emergency shelters are not able to receive donations for wildfire evacuees.
The Canadian Red Cross is accepting cash donations. The Government of Canada and the Province of Manitoba are matching donations made to the Canadian Red Cross for Manitoba wildfires from May 28 to June 27, 2025.
Other organizations such as the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, the Southern Chiefs Organization, and the Manitoba Métis Federation are collecting items for evacuees.
Information for evacuees
If you need emergency help in Winnipeg, call 9-1-1.
The Province is asking all evacuees to stay with family and friends if you can.
If you do not have a place to stay, the Province is asking all evacuees to go to the Billy Mosienko Arena (709 Keewatin St.) to receive reception centre supports and services.
Find out more about the Winnipeg Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Register with the Canadian Red Cross
All evacuees are encouraged to register as soon as possible online at redcross.ca or by calling 1-800-863-6582 (toll-free) between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Registering with the Red Cross ensures you can be contacted while away from home and you can be reached with information on services and assistance that may become available to you during this difficult time.
Registration also helps the Province allocate supports where they are most needed.
If you have pets that need support, the Winnipeg Humane Society may be able to help.
