Contract terms
Recreation Program Leaders are not considered City of Winnipeg employees. They are contractors hired to teach or lead a specific program based on certifications or experience. Compensation varies based on type and length of course and special certifications.
Program details
- Program sessions range from one day up to 10 weeks
- Can be offered weekdays, weeknights, and weekends
- Are taught at locations throughout Winnipeg
Requirements
Recreation Program Leaders must:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be able to lead a program in English or French
- Be over 18 years of age; however, we may consider younger applicants for some programs
- Obtain the following before starting work:
- Police Information Check (current within three months)
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C from:
- Red Cross
- St. John Ambulance
- Have any special certifications required by the activity (e.g. fitness leader certification)

Include the following information in as much details as possible:
- Title of the course or program
- Brief description of the course
- Facility and supply requirements
- Suggested length and duration of the course
- Preferred dates, days and time for the course
- Potential locations
- Any other pertinent information
- A resume with your contact information (if you would like to lead the program)
