Reporting structure
The Library Board reports to the Standing Policy Committee (SPC) for Community Services.
The five area Library Advisory Committees (LAC) report to the Library Board. The LACs can provide advice on public library services within their communities.
Board mandate
- Provide recommendations about library policy and budget
- Deal with administrative matters with significant policy or service implications for the library system
- Develop long range plans for the library system, including public involvement
