Board membership

Reporting structure

The Library Board reports to the Standing Policy Committee (SPC) for Community Services.

The five area Library Advisory Committees (LAC) report to the Library Board. The LACs can provide advice on public library services within their communities.

Board mandate

  • Provide recommendations about library policy and budget
  • Give feedback on administrative matters that impact library system policies and services
  • Develop long range plans for the library system, including public involvement
