Boulevard mowing & weed control

Mowing and weed control are shared responsibilities. 

Homeowners are responsible for grass and weeds: 

We cut grass and dandelions:

  • On medians and boulevards on regional routes 
  • In athletic fields
  • In parks and greenspaces

We do this on a rotating basis from mid-May through mid-October. 

Our mowing cycle is approximately 10-14 days. This means we will mow each surface around eight to 12 times in a season. 

We use herbicides to control weeds on: 

  • Medians and boulevards on regional routes
  • Ditches where grass has never been planted
  • Extended boulevards (those more than 20-feet-wide)

Buffer zone request

People opposed to herbicide use can request buffer zone around their property.
