In response to the call for Expressions of Interest that was released by the City of Winnipeg, the following respondents have been approved to develop affordable housing on City-owned lots:

Together, these developments will provide new affordable housing units on vacant lots, contributing to neighbourhood revitalization.

The developments will also contribute to City priorities including:

  • Job creation and training through social enterprise-led construction
  • Use of modern, energy-efficient, and replicable construction methods for small residential lots
  • Supportive housing for Indigenous youth transitioning out of the child welfare system
  • Indigenous-led housing development
  • Accessible units for older adults and people with disabilities
  • 3+ bedroom rental units for larger families
  • Affordable homeownership units
