2025 nominations are now open

The call for 2025 nominations is now open. Submit nominations by following three easy steps:

  1. Review the Nomination Procedures (PDF, 536KB)
  2. Complete the Nomination Form (PDF, 390KB)
  3. Submit the completed form to the Executive Director of your Business Improvement Zone by April 25, 2025. Refer to the BIZ directory for contact information.

The Mayor's Business Improvement Zone (BIZ) Awards recognize those who have made significant contributions to promote economic development in their local Business Improvement Zone and make Winnipeg's neighbourhoods and our city a better place to live, work and do business.

Awards are presented for significant contributions in one or more of the following categories:

  • community program delivery
  • place making (beautification & streetscape enhancements)
  • special events
  • marketing promotion
  • safety initiatives
