Sponsorship opportunities

East Elmwood Community Centre is seeking a sponsor to help buy a new maintenance tractor.

The Centre’s current tractor has reached the end of its expected service life. The cost of ongoing repair and maintenance continues to increase. The tractor performs many important tasks, including:

• Mowing grass and maintaining outdoor spaces
• Clearing snow from the grounds and parking lot
• Maintaining the outdoor rink ice surface
• Supporting general facility maintenance as needed

The Centre has identified a new tractor model, along with the required attachments, at a cost of up to $70,000.

The tractor will need to include:

• 30+ horsepower
• Front-end bucket
• Snow blower attachment
• Cab enclosure

The sponsor will be recognized for their support at East Elmwood Community Centre.  This may include signs in the gym, meeting rooms, outdoor rink or other areas.

The City of Winnipeg runs 12 arenas. They are used to deliver skating lessons, public skating times, and ice rentals.

We’re looking for Zamboni sponsors to help support City operated arenas. Sponsorship will help cover maintenance and repair costs of our Zambonis. This support will help keep ice rental fees low and provide users with a higher quality ice sheet.

Cartown is the City of Winnipeg’s top road safety program for kids. It’s made for children ages 4 to 7 and teaches them how to stay safe around roads and cars. Cartown takes place in a fun, pretend town and includes games, songs, and lessons about driver safety. At the end of each session, kids get their own driver’s license.

We’re looking for sponsors to help support Cartown. Sponsorship will help cover the costs of fixing and replacing vehicles, batteries and facility infrastructure. This support keeps the program affordable and helps kids have fun and unforgettable experiences.

SPIN is a free sports program for kids aged 6 to 14 who live in inner-city neighbourhoods. It’s fully funded, which means families don’t have to pay to join. Many inner-city kids do not get the chance to play sports due to many socio-economic barriers. SPIN introduces youth to sport in a non-competitive and safe environment. Since 2018 close to 15,000 youth have participated in the program

SPIN introduces youth to basic sports skills, teamwork, leadership, and fair play. The goal is to provide memorable and engaging experiences for kids in a fun setting. SPIN builds confidence and self-esteem and can deter kids from gangs and other negative behaviour.

We’re looking for a Presenting Sponsor to help support the program. Sponsorship will help cover transportation and program operating costs.
