Seven Oaks Pool capital closure

The main tank at the Seven Oaks Pool is scheduled to close for major capital work, including:

  • Concrete/structural repair
  • Waterproofing
  • Tile replacement:
    • Main tank
    • Part of the pool deck

Minor splash pad repairs will also be completed (6-week closure, timing to be determined). 

Timeline

  • Start date: December 14, 2025
  • Estimated timeline: 12-14 months

Impact to public

The facility will be operational, with the exception of the following:

  • Main tank: closed beginning December 14, 2025 for 12-14 months
  • Splash pad: remains operational, except for a 6-week period, timing to be determined
  • Kiddie pool: remains operational, except for a 6-week period, timing to be determined
  • Swimming lessons: lessons requiring the main tank will not be scheduled
  • Rentals: efforts will be made to temporarily relocate groups who rent pool space

  • $3.5 million allocated
  • Part of the Recreation and Library Investment Strategy, funded by the Government of Manitoba

  • Tender closed: August 26, 2025
  • Contract award: Anticipated October 2025

    • Universally accessible washrooms
    • Enhanced public lobby
