Seven Oaks Pool capital closure

In addition to the main tank closure, the splash pad and kiddie pool are closed due to unexpected heating issues. While we work to replace the heat exchanger unit, the entire facility is closed and swimming lessons are cancelled. We expect to reopen the splash pad and kiddie pool in mid-May. Check back for updates.

The main tank at the Seven Oaks Pool is scheduled to close for major capital work, including:

  • Concrete/structural repair
  • Waterproofing
  • Tile replacement:
    • Main tank
    • Part of the pool deck

Minor splash pad repairs will also be completed (6-week closure, timing to be determined). 

Timeline

  • Start date: December 14, 2025
  • Estimated timeline: 12-14 months

Impact to public

The facility will be operational, with the exception of the following:

  • Main tank: closed beginning December 14, 2025 for 12-14 months
  • Splash pad: remains operational, except for a 6-week period, timing to be determined
  • Kiddie pool: remains operational, except for a 6-week period, timing to be determined
  • Swimming lessons: lessons requiring the main tank will not be scheduled
  • Rentals: efforts will be made to temporarily relocate groups who rent pool space
