Development permit is needed

All house additions and attached garages need a development permit per the Winnipeg Zoning By-law.

 

Building permit is needed

All house additions and attached garages need a building permit per the Winnipeg Building By-law.

Note: Confirm development permit and other supporting approval requirements before applying for a building permit.

 

Electrical & plumbing installations

If a house addition or attached garage requires electrical or plumbing work, trade permits are needed.
