Bear Clan Missing Persons program plays important part in investigations

Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the folks at Bear Clan for all their work and support in locating Missing Persons in our community. And thank you CTV Morning Live for highlighting these efforts this week (January 7, 2025).

Their work is appreciated by all.

The Bear Clan has been working with our Missing Persons Unit to help locate missing persons in our community.

Angela Klassen of the Bear Clan explains this incredible initiative.

At the time of broadcast this dedicated grassroots groups was assisting with eight long term and 28 active missing persons cases.

Each starts with a report to the Winnipeg Police Service, before it is shared, reshared and posted by the Bear Clan.

The leads that come in are shared with investigators with the goal of helping families gain some important closure.
