Update

On August 28, 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service requested public assistance in identifying a man who died in hospital after being located unresponsive on July 28, 2026 at the corner of Main Street and James Avenue. Previous investigative efforts to identify this man were unsuccessful, prompting police to seek assistance from the public.

Following the release of a composite sketch and physical description, the man was positively identified and notifications were made to his family.

Investigators from the Manitoba Integrated Missing Persons Coordination Centre would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation. Further information will not be provided to respect the family's privacy and provide them an opportunity for closure.
