Man charged with luring and sexual assault of four teenagers: R26-36462

Following a Counter Exploitation Unit (CEU) investigation, a man has been charged in relation to the luring and sexual assaults of four teenage females.

In June 2026, police received reports regarding two separate occasions between November 2025 and January 2026, when an adult male communicated with teenagers online and arranged to meet them and some of their friends.

On both occasions, the teens were picked up by the accused and brought to a hotel where they were provided drugs and alcohol and sexually assaulted.

Between June and August, 2026, police continued to investigate and an individual was identified.

On August 18, 2026, 42-year-old, Daniel David MAIN was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:

  • Sexual Assault x 4
  • Sexual Interference x 4
  • Luring a Person Under 16 years of age by Means of Telecommunication x 2
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order

He was detained in custody.
