Woman arrested after Stanley Avenue fight: C26-100092

On April 30, 2026, at 6:40 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to the report of a physical fight between two women outside Siloam Mission in the 300 block of Stanley Avenue.  

Police met with a 58-year-old woman who declined both medical attention and further police involvement.

At approximately 6:57 p.m., staff at Siloam Mission again contacted an ambulance as the woman’s medical condition began to decline. She was transported to hospital in unstable condition.

The Winnipeg Police Service was subsequently contacted by the hospital as the victim’s condition further diminished. The victim’s condition has since stabilized.

A 50-year-old woman, Barbara Marjorie OKEMOW has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault

She was detained in custody.
