On May 7, 2026, just after 3:30 p.m., Central District Foot Patrol officers were proactively policing in the Exchange District when they observed a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado speeding and conducted a traffic stop near Higgins Avenue and McArther Street.
The driver was identified and it was revealed he had outstanding warrants for aggravated statutory rape, soliciting sexual exploitation of a minor and especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor from the United States. He was subsequently taken into custody.
The Canada Border Services Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Greenbrier Police Department in Tennessee were notified.
A 35-year-old male from Tennessee was turned over the Canada Border Services Agency where he will be held until he can be returned to the United States to face charges.
