Female robbed of cell phone. Male youth arrested: C26-77462

On April 4, 2026, just after 10:00 p.m., Central District General Patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Notre Dame Avenue for the report of a robbery.

A 37-year-old female had arranged through social media to meet up with a male in the lobby of the apartment complex earlier on in the day for the purpose of selling her cell phone. A male youth arrived and grabbed the phone from the female and attempted to flee the area. The female attempted to retrieve her phone from the male youth which was unsuccessful and resulted in her being pushed to the ground. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

On April 13, 2026, the youth male attended to Winnipeg Police Headquarters and was taken into custody.

A 15-year-old male youth is facing one charge of Robbery and was released on an Undertaking.
