On April 5, 2026, following a robbery investigation by the Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit, three male youths were arrested at a residence in the Earl Grey neighbourhood.

On March 22, at 11:40 p.m., the three youths attended a gas bar in the 500 block of Pembina Highway. With faces covered and armed with a canister of pepper spray, the youths entered the gas bar and stole 18 packs of cigarettes and cash. All three fled on foot before police arrived. The lone attendant was not injured.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and identified the three youths who were later arrested on April 5 without incident.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Possession of a Weapon. He was detained in custody.

The other two youths, aged 13 and 14 years, face charges of Robbery and Disguise with Intent. They were released on Undertakings to appear in court at a later date.
