Public Assistance requested to identify violent robbery suspect: R26-15646

The Major Crimes Unit is investigating a violent robbery which occurred on March 19, 2026, in the area of Logan Avenue and Main Street.

Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on March 19, the 45-year-old female victim was standing outside in the 600 block of Main Street when she observed a collapsed male believed to be overdosing. The victim attempted to provide aid to the male and called 911 to report the medical emergency.

As she was making the emergency call, she was physically assaulted by an unknown male and robbed of personal property, including her cellular phone and smartwatch. She suffered minor injuries and was medically cleared by the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service.

The Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate and are seeking public assistance in identifying the following male:

  • Approximately 5’10” tall
  • Neck and hand tattoos
  • Short hair and clean-shaven
  • Wearing a black jacket and black jeans
