A South Pointe search warrant yields cocaine, cash and high-end merch: C26-58793

As the result of a drug investigation, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit seized $12,000 worth of cocaine, over $50,000 in cash, and approximately $46,000 worth of jewellery and clothing. One man was taken into custody.

On March 14, 2026, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 1-99 block of Firestone Drive, along with two vehicles.

The following items were seized as evidence:

  • 513 grams of cocaine (estimated street value = $12,000)
  • $50,200 in Canadian cash
  • High-end clothing and jewellery (estimated value = $46,000)

A 35-year-old man, Simalew Tolcha MAMMO was charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine

Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

He was detained in custody.
