On March 9, 2026, officers arrested a 31-year-old woman after she received services at a boutique on Marion Street and refused to pay.

On February 18, 2026, a boutique in the 1–99 block of Marion Street contacted police to report that a client received $2,072 in beauty treatments and indicated she would return to pay for the services but never did.

The investigation was assigned to the Property Crime Unit, who identified a suspect and obtained a warrant for her arrest.

On March 9, 2026, investigators arrested Brooke Tanis SMITH (31) and charged her with Theft Under $5000. She was released on an Undertaking.
