Teens sexually assaulted after online communication leads to in person meet with 41-year-old man: C25-276092

In early January 2026, the Counter Exploitation Unit initiated an investigation into inappropriate online contact between two teenagers and a 41-year-old man under the username “Moon Beam,” which led to his arrest.

On September 8, 2025, after several weeks of communication through a social media platform, the teens attended to the suspect’s residence, where he provided them with drugs and alcohol and sexually assaulted them.

On September 25, 2025, one of the survivors received sexually explicit images and video from the suspect through social media.

The Counter Exploitation Unit was notified and identified a suspect. On January 30, 2026, investigators located and arrested the suspect in the 100 block of Paramount Road in Winnipeg.

Daniel David MAIN (41) of St. Francois Xavier has been charged with the following:

  • Sexual Assault x 2
  • Sexual Interference x 2
  • Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication any Child Pornography
  • Transmit, Make Available, Distribute or Sell Sexually Explicit Material to a Person Under 16yrs

MAIN was detained in custody.
