Online threat directed at North End elementary school leads to youth arrest and charge: C26-32122

On February 10, 2026, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit arrested a youth after threats were made involving an elementary school in the 400 block of Flora Avenue on February 3.

The information was reported to police, and the Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.

Investigators identified a person and on the morning of February 10, arrested the youth without incident. No physical threats were discovered at the school and there is no threat to public safety.

The youth faces a charge of Utter Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm and was released on an Undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

The Winnipeg Police Service takes threats to schools seriously and follows up/ investigates all reports to ensure the safety of students, staff members, and that of the general public.
