Holiday Checkstop Program – Week 4 Results

Although the holiday season is coming to an end, the 2025 Holiday Checkstop Program will continue throughout December into New Year’s Eve.

Between December 21-28, 2025:

  • 272 vehicles were stopped
  • 10 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, including:
     
  • 8 drivers who registered a WARN
  • 2 Immediate Roadside Prohibition (ASD Fail)

A friendly reminder that every driver stopped during a Checkstop will be required to provide a breath sample using an Approved Screening Device and drug-screening equipment will be used to detect signs of cannabis impairment. The Winnipeg Police Service wants everyone to have a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
