The Winnipeg Police Service’s Child Abuse Unit continued the investigation into the December 16, 2025 incident of a school aged child that was approached by two masked men, driving in a white van.

After the conclusion of a thorough investigation, the Child Abuse Unit has determined that there was no threat to the child or to public safety.

All investigations undertaken by the Winnipeg Police Service are taken seriously and are investigated to their full extent.
