On October 23, 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service arrested 35-year-old Stacey Lane EAGLESTICK after receiving a report she had stolen a motor vehicle from the 1-99 block of Lydia Street and was being held by the victims and bystanders.

At 8:15 a.m., EAGLESTICK entered the driver seat of an unlocked 2018 Chevrolet Equinox that had been left running. She immediately reversed the vehicle into a large metal garbage bin, causing approximately $2,500 in damage. The owner of the vehicle and a second man confronted EAGLESTICK and extracted her from the vehicle. She assaulted both men during the struggle. They did not suffer any injuries.

Several bystanders intervened and held EAGLESTICK before she was turned over to the custody of attending Central District General Patrol officers.

EAGLESTICK has been charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle and two counts of Assault. She was detained in custody.
