Police asking for public assistance identifying suspects in Fort Garry robbery: C25-160006

Update:

The Major Crimes Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a robbery that occurred on July 13, 2025, at approximately 10:33 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pembina Highway.

The suspects were reportedly on foot at the time, and investigators believe they may have been captured on the dash cameras of passing vehicles.

Investigators have an updated description of the two suspects:

Suspect #1 is described as a male in his early 20s, 5'4" to 5'6" in height, with long, dark curly hair. He was wearing a tank top, red shorts, and a gold chain.

Suspect #2 is described as a male in his 20s, approximately 5'9" in height, with a medium to large build. He was wearing dark shorts and a dark hoodie with the hood up.

The Major Crimes Unit asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault—or was in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage—to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.

As previously released, on July 13, 2025, at 10:33 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to the 1600 block of Pembina Highway after the report of robbery where a man was stabbed by an unknown suspect.

The victim walked to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he was met by West District patrol officers. Through their investigation, officers learned the victim was working on a vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by two suspects who asked for his personal property. While trying to steal his property, one suspect punched and stabbed him several times before running away.

The victim was transferred to another hospital due to the severity of his injuries, and later upgraded to stable condition.
