On July 13, 2025, at 10:33 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to the 1600 block of Pembina Highway after the report of robbery where a man was stabbed by an unknown suspect.

The victim walked to a nearby hospital for treatment, where he was met by West District patrol officers. Through their investigation, officers learned the victim was working on a vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by two suspects who asked for his personal property. While trying to steal his property, one suspect punched and stabbed him several times before running away.

The victim was transferred to another hospital due to the severity of his injuries, and later upgraded to stable condition.

Witnesses described Suspect #1 as a male, approximately 17 to 27 years old, 5'4" to 5'6" in height, with long, dark, curly hair. He was wearing a tank top, red shorts, and a gold chain. Suspect #2 is described as a male in his 20s, approximately 5'9" tall with a medium to large build. He was wearing dark shorts and a dark hoodie with the hood up.
