Internet Child Exploitation Unit re-arrested a man for child sexual abuse images: R25-32352

Update:

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), has re-arrested a man for possessing and accessing child sexual abuse images, and breaching conditions of his release order.

On July 2, 2025, the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the Canadian Armed Forces Base on Wihuri Road where a 31-year-old man was taken into custody and multiple electronic devices were seized.

He was charged with the following offences:

  • Access any child pornography
  • Possession of child pornography
  • Fail to comply with release order x 7

He was detained in custody.

On April 16, 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s ICE Unit, with the assistance of the Technological Crimes Unit and the Military Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on the Canadian Armed Forces Base as the result of an internet child exploitation investigation.  

A 31-year-old man was taken into custody and multiple electronic devices were seized.

He was charged with child pornography-related offences and released with conditions prohibiting access to the internet and anyone under 18, as directed by the Criminal Code.

The accused was not named to protect the identity of the involved youth survivor.
