Police seeking a suspect in random sexual assaults near hospital: C25-149577

The Winnipeg Police Service is working to identify a suspect in four similar sexual assaults that occurred on the evening of July 2nd, 2025.

Police received several reports about women who were sexually assaulted by an unknown man around the vicinity of the Health Sciences Campus.

  1. Around 7:00 p.m., a teenage girl was walking in the area of Elgin/Sherbrook when she was confronted by an unknown man and was sexually assaulted. She reported to an adult and was transported to safety.
     
  2. Around 7:12 p.m., a female staff member was walking east on William near Furby, when she was confronted by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.

  1. Around 7:42 p.m., a female staff member was walking in the hospital tunnels when she was confronted by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.

  1. Around 7:45 p.m., a female staff member was walking south on Emily from McDermot, when she was confronted by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, slim build, with dark hair, he was wearing a Jets shirt, and had jewellery on.

The Sex Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate.
