Man is charged with sexual assault in Windsor Park: C25-145245

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Sex Crimes Unit charged a man after receiving the report of a sexual assault in Windsor Park on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Around 12:45 a.m., (on the 28th),  a woman who was previously inside an establishment, was waiting outside for her friend to exit. An unknown man also left the establishment and approached the woman as she waited outside. He led her to some bushes where she was sexually assaulted.

The suspect left, and the woman screamed for help until someone assisted her and called 911.

She was transported to hospital for medical treatment and the Sex Crimes Unit was notified.

With the assistance of surveillance video, investigators identified the suspect and he was arrested later that evening.

Miguel Villa RAMIREZ (29) of Saskatchewan was charged with sexual assault and had an outstanding Canada Border Services Agency warrant. He was detained in custody.
