Man armed with baseball bat arrested during North End incident: C25-144445

At around 10:20 a.m. on June 27, North District General Patrol arrested a 36-year-old man after he was seen walking in the 300 block of Selkirk Avenue acting erratically and swinging around a baseball bat.

Officers found the agitated man walking in the 300 block of Pritchard Avenue and were immediately confronted by him. Officers deployed multiple tasers to safely disarm and arrest him.

During the arrest process, the man spat on an officer and refused to provide his name. Forensic Identification Technicians were able to identify him through the fingerprinting process.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Jonathan Lawrence REID is charged with Possession of a Weapon, Obstruct Peace Officer, Assault Peace Officer, and Breach of Undertaking.

REID was detained in custody.
