Guns & Gangs arrest one teen and an adult for drug trafficking after traffic stop, seizing drugs, money, and a loaded handgun: C25-136420

On June 18, 2025, at 8:50 p.m., officers from the Guns & Gangs Unit stopped a 2018 Ford Explorer at Young Street and Sargent Avenue. During the traffic stop, officers noticed signs that the two occupants were involved in the drug trafficking trade, and arrested the 17-year-old male driver and the 31-year-old male passenger.

Officers searched the vehicle and seized scales, cell phones, $585 CDN currency, and almost 24 grams of Cocaine with an estimated street value of over $1,900. In addition, officers found a loaded 7.65 mm handgun with an obliterated serial number and ammunition on the adult male.

Abdelrahman IKHDAIR (31) is charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, and multiple firearm-related offences.

IKHDAIR was remanded into custody as he was also wanted for disobeying court orders.

The 17-year old faces charges of Operating a Conveyance while Prohibited, Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with his Release Order.

He was released with an Undertaking and an Appearance Notice to appear in court at a later date.
