On June 19, 2025, just after 5:30 p.m., the swift response of Central District Foot Patrol Unit members led to the arrest of a man and woman after they stole food and assaulted two staff members at a convenience store in the 0-99 block of Osborne Street.

The man and woman came into the store and began throwing things around the aisles before grabbing some food items. When confronted, the pair began punching two employees multiple times and fled. Central District Foot Patrol officers arrested the woman nearby and the man a short time later after a foot pursuit.

The victims were not injured as a result of the assault.

A 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old female are facing robbery charges.

The man was held in custody and the woman was released on an Undertaking.

The Foot Patrol Unit continues to work in partnership with community members and stakeholders in the effort to reduce crime and make communities safer and stronger.
