On June 8, at 8:13 p.m. North District General Patrol stopped a 2011 BMW in the 200 block of Austin Street North. During the stop, the driver lied about his name and provided a stolen driver’s license.
Once officers discovered his true identity, and after learning he was wanted on three separate warrants for probation order breaches, robbery, and over twenty-three fraud-related incidents, he was arrested. Stolen cheques, multiple stolen/forged bank cards, a credit card embossing machine, and $1,600 CDN were found in the vehicle.
Carlo Romano DEGUZMAN (49) is charged with multiple credit card, identity/fraud, possession of an instrument used to copy, falsify, and forge credit card data, and release order offences.
DEGUZMAN was detained in custody.
