Commercial Robbery – Arrests: C25-114389

On May 25, 2025, at 7:25 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a commercial business in the 700 block of Dakota Street for the report of a Commercial Robbery.

East District General Patrol officers arrived on scene and located the suspects in the near vicinity of the business and arrested them without incident.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the youths had attended to the commercial business, selected merchandise and attempted to leave without paying. A staff member attempted to intervene and was sprayed with bear spray by one of the youths, prior to them fleeing the scene.

A 17-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Robbery
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon

A 13-year-old female, from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Robbery.

They were both released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.

A 15-year-old male youth was released without charges.
