The Winnipeg Police Service's Counter Exploitation Unit (CEU) continues to conduct outreach and proactive offender sweeps in the community.
On Thursday, May 8, in response to several reported community concerns, CEU officers assisted by East District Community Support Units, conducted a sweep in Winnipeg's West End. Five (5) men ranging from 27 to 53 years of age were arrested for Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration and released on Undertakings as mandated by the Criminal Code.
Several people working in the sex trade were offered community resources.
Everyone has a role to play in promoting safety for all.
