Residential Break & Enter – Arrest: C25-78916

On April 15, 2025 at approximately 3:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service were alerted to the report of a break-in to a residence in the 600 block of Victor Street.

Attending Central District General Patrol officers observed two suspects exiting the residence with a dishwasher and engaged in a foot pursuit as they fled. Officers summoned assistance from Air1 who quickly provided visual containment, tracking one of the suspects to a residence in the 600 block of Toronto Street.

At approximately 3:10 a.m., an adult male suspect was taken into custody and items related to the break-in were seized as evidence including the following:

  • Break-in instruments
  • A pocket knife
  • A  .22 caliber round of ammunition
  • 25 pills believed to be Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value = $750)
  • Approximately .25 grams of what is believed to be Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value = $125).

A 23-year-old male of Winnipeg faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Break Enter & Theft – Dwelling House
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Possession of a Break-In Instruments
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Fentanyl
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was detained in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
