Carjacking – Arrests: C25-67543

On March 31, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a gas station in the 300 block of St. Anne’s Road for the report of a vehicle that had been stolen by force.

Dispatched East District officers spoke with the 62-year-old male victim and owner of the vehicle who relayed three suspects approached his vehicle as he was exiting, jumped in and struck him with the vehicle door as he attempted to intervene. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle before police arrived. He was uninjured as a result of the robbery.

At approximately 11:10 p.m., patrolling officers observed the stolen 2017 Toyota Sequoia being operated in the Old St. Vital neighbourhood and executed a traffic stop at Coniston Street and St. Mary’s Avenue. The occupants were placed under arrest without incident and a folding knife was seized from one of the suspects’ person.

A 17-year-old male of Winnipeg faces the following charges:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 3

He was detained in custody awaiting disposition.

A second 17-year-old male of Winnipeg faces the charges of Robbery and Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer. He was released by way of Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.

A 14-year-old male of Winnipeg faces a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000. He was released by way of Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
