Assault Weapon – Arrest: C25-67645

On March 31, 2025 at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a park near Cumberland Avenue and Carlton Street (Central Park) for the report of a fight in progress involving several individuals. 

Central District General Patrol officers attended and found a 23-year-old female victim and 20-year-old male victim suffering from injuries consistent with being stabbed with an edged weapon. Officers administered first aid and applied a tourniquet to the male victim’s lower body to control the bleeding. Both victims were transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without further incident, and during his arrest a knife was seized as evidence.

Ethan Shaden MCDONALD, 19 yrs of Winnipeg has been charged with Assault with a Weapon x 2.

He was detained in custody.
