Homicide – Investigation: C25-67855

On April 1, 2025, at approximately 12:55 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Agnes Street.

Central District General Patrol officers attended and located an adult male victim with injuries consistent with being shot. Officers provided emergency first aid before the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He has since succumbed to his injuries and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Brenton Sean Paul HARPER. HARPER was a member of Garden Hill First Nation and resided in Winnipeg.

The Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation and family notifications have been made.
