On March 28, 2025, at approximately 7:47 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a restaurant in the 700 block of Sherbrook Avenue for the report of an adult male causing a disturbance and destroying property.

Central District General Patrol officers responded and located a 27-year-old male suspect responsible for damaging property. The suspect threw various items at a 39-year-old male victim (staff) as well as officers, and was not compliant with officers during his arrest. A conducted energy weapon was deployed to safely take the suspect into custody. Neither the victims nor suspect required medical attention as a result of the assaults.

A 27-year-old male from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Mischief Over $5,000
  • Assault a Peace Officer x 2
  • Assault

He was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
