Chad Jason DANDAN, a 24-year-old male, is still wanted for the murder of Zeyad Vifan SHAMMO in September 2024 in Winnipeg.

UPDATE:

DANDAN is believed to be driving a dark coloured SUV and may be in the area of Northern Manitoba.

DANDAN is described as:

  • A South Asian male
  • Approximately 5’6” in height, with a medium build
  • Approximately 140 lbs

DANDAN may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached if encountered.

As previously released :

The Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate the September 10, 2024, homicide of Zeyad Vifan SHAMMO (a 22-year-old male of Ontario). The Winnipeg Police responded to the 300 block of Bridge Lake Drive for a report that SHAMMO had gone missing, and later determined to have been abducted.

He was located on September 13, 2024 deceased inside a residence in the 100 block of Bristol Avenue.

Investigators previously identified and charged two suspects; a 26-year-old male, Sonny BALEMBA and a 26-year-old male, Robert James CHAYKOWSKI, who were known to the victim. They were charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping and Extortion and detained in custody.  

The Major Crimes Unit has continued to investigate this homicide and is requesting the public’s assistance to locate a third suspect; a 24-year-old male, Chad Jason DANDAN.

DANDAN is believed to be in the area of Northern Manitoba and a warrant for First Degree Murder, Kidnapping and Extortion has been issued for his arrest.
