Drugs & Firearm – Arrest: C25-60754

On March 22, 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Central District and Tactical Support Team, arrested an adult male with a loaded handgun and approximately $23,000 worth of drugs.

Officers were conducting a firearm and drug trafficking investigation when when they took the male into custody outside a hotel in the west end of the city. As the result of this investigation, the following items were seized:

  • a loaded .22 caliber handgun and ammunition
  • a conducted energy weapon
  • 268 grams of Fentanyl (estimated street value of $15,000)
  • 137 grams of Cocaine (estimated street value of $7,000)
  • 97.3 grams of Methamphetamine (estimated street value of $900)
  • 37 Dilaudid pills (estimated street value of $500)
  • $1,750 Canadian currency

Buchannan Anthony EYOLFSON (40), of Winnipeg was charged with 16 drug trafficking and firearm-related offences. He was detained in custody.
