Non-Consensual Intimate Images – Arrests: R25-8611

In January 2025, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Domestic Violence Unit received a report from an adult female regarding the distribution of intimate images without her consent. The content was created and distributed by an adult male with whom she had been in a previous relationship.

On January 9, the images were sent to a school division official where the female was employed. After reviewing the content, the division official forwarded the content to additional individuals for follow-up.

On January 15, the adult male was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Voyeurism
  • Administer Noxious Thing with Intent to Aggrieve or Annoy
  • Assault x 2
  • Unlawfully in Dwelling House
  • Assault by Choking, Suffocating or Strangling
  • Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Distribute Intimate Image Without Consent
  • Disobeying Order of Court

He was detained in custody.

After subsequent investigation and forensic analysis, the division official was arrested on March 20, 2025. This individual is facing the charge of Distribute Intimate Image Without Consent and was released on an Undertaking.

It is a criminal offence to share intimate images of someone without their consent.
