On March 19, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., an individual attended an establishment in the 300 block of Main Street and demanded food and alcohol. He began acting belligerently and did not have the means to pay.

When denied further service, he grabbed a knife and threatened the staff. Some off-duty members who were dining at the time, intervened and placed the male under arrest. Nobody was injured during this incident.

Christian Shawn SWAMPY (33), of Winnipeg was charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Fraudulently Obtaining Food or Lodging

He was detained in custody.
