Stolen Vehicle – Arrests: C25-57384

On March 17, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was notified that a 2004 Dodge Ram had been stolen from a parking lot in the 1100 block of Main Street.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., East District General Patrol officers were patrolling in the West Elmwood neighbourhood, when they observed the Dodge Ram perform an illegal left turn in the back lane between Hespeller Avenue and Hart Avenue. The Dodge Ram continued travelling westbound at a high rate of speed eventually losing control and colliding into a hydro pole, parked vehicles, and a fence. It finally came to rest in the rear a residence in the sub 100 block of Hespeller Avenue.

With the assistance of Air1, one male suspect was arrested on scene without incident. It was confirmed through investigation that the Dodge Ram and its rear licence plate were stolen.

Officers subsequently located and arrested a second male without incident in the near vicinity a short time later.

 A 35-year-old male, from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

A 33-year-old male, from Little Saskatchewan First Nation, Manitoba is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 x 2

Both were released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
