On March 16, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., patrolling Central District officers observed a 2007 Ford 150 Super Duty Lariat being operated in the area of Sargent Avenue and McGee Street and confirmed it had been reported stolen on March 14, from the 100 block of Perth Avenue.

Officers initiated a follow and summoned Air 1 to assist. Members of Air1 maintained visual containment of the stolen vehicle and followed it several blocks to the 400 block of Toronto Street where an adult female was observed fleeing the vehicle. The female, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was tracked a short distance where officers on the ground placed her under arrest without incident.

A 31-year-old female, of Winnipeg, faces charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking.

She was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
